Our Growing List of Partners
NCMNS postdocs and their staff scientist mentors will work firsthand with Kenan Fellow teachers to develop classroom modules based on citizen science. NCMNS Education Team will provide professional development and support for the teachers during their 3-week externship at the museum. The Museum is the place where the Venn diagram intersects for all of the other organizations affiliated with Students Discover.

YWL will serve as the web interface that will house module materials for participating teachers. The website will be a space to: disseminate curriculum modules, collect data, and serve as a place to develop a community of practice.

The FI project team will formally study the process for moving educational innovations from more ideal settings to a variety of schools and community-based settings where conditions for success may be less favorable.

GP will serve as the external evaluator for Students Discover. They will specifically measure student and teacher outcomes, document institutional change for partners, document dissemination of the project, and assess the potential for future research and use of research results.
